South Carolina Volunteer Opportunities Guide

Service is an essential part of the DECA experience, providing members with opportunities to develop leadership skills while making a meaningful impact in their communities. The South Carolina Volunteer Opportunities Guide was created to help chapters discover service opportunities throughout the state by compiling organizations and volunteer experiences available to high school students. Organized by region, this resource makes it easier for members to connect with local organizations, explore new ways to serve, and strengthen their chapter's commitment to community involvement. Whether chapters are planning a service project or members are looking for individual volunteer opportunities, this guide is designed to support meaningful engagement across South Carolina.

RMHC Candy Drive

South Carolina DECA is proud to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities to support families with children receiving medical care. During the Fall Leadership Conference, chapters are invited to participate in a statewide candy drive by donating individually wrapped candy. These donations help create a welcoming environment for families and children staying at Ronald McDonald House while providing chapters with a meaningful opportunity to give back. Through this initiative, members can make a positive impact while demonstrating DECA's commitment to service and community engagement.

RMHC Nonperishables Drive

South Carolina DECA is committed to making a meaningful impact through service and community partnerships. During the State Career Development Conference, chapters are invited to participate in the Ronald McDonald House Charities Nonperishable Food Drive by donating nonperishable food items. These donations help stock Ronald McDonald House pantries and provide essential resources for families with children receiving medical care. By participating, chapters have the opportunity to support families across South Carolina while demonstrating DECA's dedication to service, compassion, and community engagement.

#DoItForSCDECADay

Community service is a cornerstone of the DECA experience, strengthening chapters while creating a positive impact across South Carolina. #DoItForSCDECADay is a statewide day of service that encourages chapters to complete a community service project on the same day, demonstrating the collective impact of South Carolina DECA. By participating, chapters showcase their commitment to leadership and service while inspiring others to become involved in their local communities. Chapters that participate and share their impact with South Carolina DECA will be recognized for their contributions with a ribbon at the State Career Development Conference.
